Introduction

In bespoke furniture making, the timber is given a voice that it can never have in mass produced furniture.
When commissioning a piece of furniture, the ideas and requirements of the client come together with the designs and craftsmanship of the maker and the unique qualities of the timber to create a piece which is individual and can never quite be duplicated.

Furniture making is about finding elegant solutions to practical problems and as a general rule, the best solution tends also to be the simplest one. I strive for simplicity in all my designs and hope that along the way I also achieve some measure of elegance.
I now work exclusively in native British hardwoods and would welcome the opportunity to collaborate with you in creating a new piece of furniture to serve your practical needs and celebrate the beauty and versatility of our native timbers.
