Mary Marsh: Hand-crafted Contemporary Furniture | Gallery | Malvern Library Cafe Bar
Malvern Library’s café has been reborn as Bloem in the Library under the management of Lisa who wanted to increase the amount of available seating whilst also making the area more welcoming. She requested a long bar to run along an otherwise bare wall and had already ordered tall, bleached oak stools to go with it.
I designed this simple bar to fit in with the existing style of the library and made it in English Oak as befits such a fine old building. I bleached the oak to match the colour of the stools and after installation was pleased to hear a member of the Library staff say that it looked as if it had always been there.
"I would not hesitate in recommending Mary for any hand-made furniture commissions" - Lisa Loudon
Length : 3380mm; Width : 300mm; Height : 630mm (attached to the wall at 1030mm from floor)
