Sara wanted a small box in which to store her treasures. She chose elm for the main timber and left the rest to me. I took my basic dove-tailed box design and tweaked the dove tails a little bit just for the fun of it and then made a sycamore tray with suede-lined base and elm splines to sit inside the box giving three compartments. The splendid Brusso hinges hold the lid open at just the right angle and the elm just looks lovely!
